Adult Learners' Award, Involve Yorkshire & Humber 2013
Involve Yorkshire & Humber proudly hosted the Adult Learners' Week Awards for the fourth year running on Wednesday 22nd May. In their own words, this was a "fantabulous celebration of the life-changing power of learning" and an opportunity to hear outstanding personal stories from the winners.
Big Society Award
During May Altogether Better was in London to receive a Big Society Award from the Prime Minister. Lisa Cox from Sheffield and Mashud Haque from Bradford attended the ceremony to represent 12,500 Community Health Champions across Yorkshire and Humber. The award was given in recognition of the contribution volunteers are making to the health and well-being of their communities.
